No sour face needed! When lemon is combined with other foods it gives the most delicious twist!
Lemons are packed with nutrients and offer several health benefits for children:
Rich in Vitamin C: Lemons are an excellent source of vitamin C, which supports the immune system, helps with the absorption of iron, and promotes healthy skin.
Supports Digestion: The acidity of lemons helps stimulate the production of digestive juices, aiding in digestion and helping prevent constipation.
Hydration: Adding lemon to water can encourage children to drink more fluids, keeping them hydrated, especially during hot weather.
Antioxidant Properties: Lemons contain antioxidants, such as vitamin C and flavonoids, which help protect cells from damage and support overall health.
Promotes Healthy Skin: The vitamin C and antioxidants in lemons help maintain healthy skin by promoting collagen production and protecting against damage from the sun and pollution.
Lemonade
Kids LOVE to "mix potions" and get involved with mixing any kind of liquids. Set them up for success, demonstrate and let them do the work!
Its ok to get messy! We know human nature is to live and learn the hard way first! Be ready with a towel to clean up a mess, show your child that mistakes happen but as long as your ready to fix it its not so bad and try, try again.
