Watermelons are great on their own but here is how to make it more fun!
You'll need a foil pan (dollar tree), a large knife, a cooking sheet or large cutting board, a clean towel, popsicle sticks and cookie cutters.
Get out the cookie cutters and let your child select their favorites like a star, heart or dinosaur!
Cut your watermelon into slices so the result is a disc of watermelon.
On a table, lay down a towel and then a large cutting board or clean surface for the watermelon.
Help your child use the cookie cutters to cut shapes out of the watermelon disc. Place onto a plate or foil pan.
One year, we cut star shaped watermelon for a 4th of July party and put them on popsicle sticks, everyone loved it!
